California — Meg & Dia @ Troubadour (film scans + saved photos)
I got to talk a bit with Carlo and Nick too, but I’m a shy dork and didn’t get photos with them before it was time to leave. Next show I’ll do better! Honestly though, the fact that the band members recognize me (and are first to make contact—thanks Carlo) is so satisfying and way more than I could ever ask for. Plus, I’m still trying to learn how to not be a shaky, nervous mess every time I see them… I seriously felt like I was about to push Meg over with my ridiculous shaking when I took a photo with her! They all just make me feel so overwhelmed.
Regardless of my being an awkward loser, the set they put on was amazing (as always) and I had the pleasure of meeting and talking with so many incredible people. Thank you to the band, their manager, and everyone who worked together and made the show and after-show gathering possible. There’s a good reason why I’m so dedicated to supporting this group of people. I seriously love all of you and can’t wait to meet again!

Got back late last night/early this morning from our 3-day California trip. It was probably the best vacation and best consecutive three days of my life.
Lots more photos and updates still to come ~

My current desktop wallpaper, shot during our previous California road trip.
I’m absolutely aching to go back.
Here’s a completed video of the Spring Break 2011 adventure to California that I experienced with some lovely friends. I’m so relieved that it’s finally done and uploaded. For all the lovelies who went on the trip with us, enjoy! And pass it along so that all of our Cali groupies can watch our silly memories. :D
Regarding further description, this video is a very amateur compilation of vacation clips that runs a little over 15 minutes. It was the first time I really took videos with my DSLR, so please excuse my lack of filming experience that resulted in too much shakiness and focusing fails. The majority of these clips were shot while we were walking/in motion.
