Meg told me it was the first present the two of them have ever received as a couple, which I thought was pretty sweet. They seemed to really love it, but being who they are and considering the amount of presents they must receive, I’m sure they’re programmed to “like” everything! Meg did say that Nick couldn’t have it and that it was going in her room… And that’s basically the goal when you make a painting for someone. You want them to feel like it’s worthy enough to hang on their bedroom wall.
Anyway, it was a small token of all the appreciation and thanks I have for the two of them. I would’ve loved to make paintings for Dia, Carlo, and Jonathan as well, but I hardly had time to even finish this one. Next time!

I got to talk a bit with Carlo and Nick too, but I’m a shy dork and didn’t get photos with them before it was time to leave. Next show I’ll do better! Honestly though, the fact that the band members recognize me (and are first to make contact—thanks Carlo) is so satisfying and way more than I could ever ask for. Plus, I’m still trying to learn how to not be a shaky, nervous mess every time I see them… I seriously felt like I was about to push Meg over with my ridiculous shaking when I took a photo with her! They all just make me feel so overwhelmed.
Regardless of my being an awkward loser, the set they put on was amazing (as always) and I had the pleasure of meeting and talking with so many incredible people. Thank you to the band, their manager, and everyone who worked together and made the show and after-show gathering possible. There’s a good reason why I’m so dedicated to supporting this group of people. I seriously love all of you and can’t wait to meet again!
cannot wait to see these ladies again.
