Meg told me it was the first present the two of them have ever received as a couple, which I thought was pretty sweet. They seemed to really love it, but being who they are and considering the amount of presents they must receive, I’m sure they’re programmed to “like” everything! Meg did say that Nick couldn’t have it and that it was going in her room… And that’s basically the goal when you make a painting for someone. You want them to feel like it’s worthy enough to hang on their bedroom wall.
Anyway, it was a small token of all the appreciation and thanks I have for the two of them. I would’ve loved to make paintings for Dia, Carlo, and Jonathan as well, but I hardly had time to even finish this one. Next time!

My bunny painting while it was in progress. I think I like the background better at this point rather than the finished background.
Saturday @ 07:58amTwo acrylic paintings that I made as Christmas gifts for two lovely people. The first is a minimalistic greyhound and the second is a realistic bunny. I wanted the first one to be very simple, and the second one to be more detailed. The background of the bunny painting didn’t quite come out the way I had intended, and the bunny itself came out better than expected—go figure. Regardless, I was content enough with both of these paintings to give them away as presents. Also, I didn’t get any really good photographs of either of the paintings because I was quite busy at the time I made them. So, these two distant photos will have to do.

Drawing of my morbid self… this thing is creeping me out
And there is actual variation and shading on the face/neck, this photo isn’t too good
